UPDATE 8/24/25 4PM

Some good news, according to incident command, is the fire is holding within its perimeter and the rate of spread has been downgraded from dangerous to moderate.

INITIAL STORY

While the Pickett Fire burns 10 square miles in northern Napa County, new evacuation orders warnings have been issues for a fire that sparked Sunday afternoon in Lower Lake.

According to Watch Duty, as of 3 PM, the fire had burned 25 acres "with a dangerous rate of spread."

Evacuation orders are in effect for LOW-E133 and LOW-E162. A warning is in effect for zone LOW-E-159.

Fire officials say besides the resources on the scene now, three additional heavy water-dropping helicopters have been requested.

The fire started in the 20500 block of Sky High Ridge Road.

We will update this post as more information becomes available.
